- Important information for students seeking Financial Aid -

  • Students applying for federal aid for Fall 2023 will need to complete the 2023-24 FAFSA. You may complete the FAFSA any time after October 1.  Allen’s priority deadline is May 1st.    You will use 2021 tax information for the 23-24 FAFSA.  The FAFSA is free of charge and should be completed at www.studentaid.gov.  Allen's school code is 001901.  If you are transferring to a different institution, we encourage you to check their deadlines.

  • We highly recommend to use the Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) on the FAFSA.

  • If either you or your parents filed an amended tax return for 2021, you will need to request both a completed and signed 1040X and a tax return transcript.

  • View missing documents under the View Financial Aid Document Tracking in your portal

  • Federal Aid offers for the upcoming year begin in early spring.

  • If you accept loans, be sure to complete the Entrance Loan Counseling(ELC) and Master Promisory Note(MPN) at www.studentaid.gov.

  • If you have any questions, please contact the financial aid office via email at finaid@allencc.edu or call 620-901-6305.

  • Remember to renew your FAFSA each academic year.

  • The first disbursement during each semester is made approximately five weeks after the beginning of the semester for all aid recipients. After this date, as offers are made, funds are disbursed each week on Friday. Disbursements for compressed coursework will be processed based on the comparable time frame of a standard term course.
